The Parkway Theater

If you were inspired by the Women’s March, join us on Wednesday, May 10, at the Parkway Theater for wine, feminism and politics on 50/50 Day!

Recent events have made it loud and clear: we need to have a national conversation about what it’s going to take to get to a 50/50 world, and about the greater context of the struggle toward gender equality.  What will it take to get to a more gender balanced world?  Filmmaker Tiffany Schlain has declared May 10, 2017 50/50 Day, a global event to engage in this discussion.  We hope you’ll join us for this local 50/50 Day event.

We’ll enjoy wine tasting with local company Grand Père Wines (featuring Champagne Lanson), view the short film, “50/50, Rethinking the Past, Present and Future of Women and Power“, and join in a panel discussion led by Erin Vilardi, Founder and Director of VoteRunLead.

The Film:  Emmy-nominated filmmaker & founder of The Webby Awards, Director Tiffany Schlain uses her signature cinematic-thought-essay style to take us on an electric ride exploring where we are in the greater arc of the history of women and power, and how we can truly shift the gender balance to be better for everyone.

Proceeds will benefit VoteRunLead, a non-partisan nonprofit organization that recruits, trains, and mentors first-time women candidates.  The panel discussion will include MN State Senator Patricia Torres Ray, Ramsey County Commissioner Toni Carter , and Minneapolis City Council Member Elizabeth Glidden.

www.legacy.voterunlead.org is a non-partison nonprofit organization TRAINING POWERHOUSE.   A portion of the cost to attend is tax deductible.
