April 13, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Historic Congressional Cemetery (HCC)

In 2018, America experienced a record-breaking number of women running (and winning) to serve our country. From voters to supporters and organizers to candidates, this surge in women’s civic participation isn’t an anomaly, it’s the new norm. Democracy is the ultimate marathon – and we have the mindset, endurance and vision for the mileage ahead. In 2019, we’re readying to hit a new PR. Train, run (literally) and party with us at the 2019 #CouragetoRun5K in DC & across the country.

VoteRunLead is happy to partner with Courage to Run, the nation’s premier, nonpartisan 5K run/walk and party celebrating women getting civically active and running for office. We are also elevating being healthy to lead effectively in civic life today. The Washington, DC race is a USATF-certified, time-chipped race at the Historic Congressional Cemetery and along the Anacostia River in Capitol Hill. The day’s festivities kick off at 9 AM with a Kids Dash for Democracy (8 and under), followed by the 5K. Runners return to a big finish-line party, civic fair, live music, speakers, prizes, medals and delicious eats and treats. Can’t make it to DC? We have your back. Join or organize your community!
