MRAC’s We Should Run II
The Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, an organization of over 940 chapters of college-educated women who are committed to public service, with a focus on sustaining the growth and development of the African American community has partnered with VoteRunLead, the nation’s largest and most diverse training organization for women to run for office, and win, in looking toward the future and hosting WE Should Run II: Preparing Women of Color to Run for Political Office Workshop.
On Saturday, January 26th, we invite you to join us for a conversation with local women leaders of color followed by a live training to ready you for your first steps into making the decision to run for office with VoteRunLead. This workshop is aimed at women who have not considered running for political office as well as those who have been thinking about it and need encouragement to declare. VoteRunLead believes you already have the experience, talent and networks to achieve your political ambition. VoteRunLead’s #RunAsYouAre 90 Day Challenge will accelerate the growth of your political networks and know-how with practical and actionable steps. This workshop will help you make a real plan to get to know your political community, find the best office to run for, and bolster your campaign to win.
