Senator Nikema Williams currently serves as a member of the Georgia State Senate for District 39. She currently serves as Chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia, and was a delegate to the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Democratic National Conventions. Prior to being elected as state senator, Senator Williams served as vice-president of Public Policy for Planned Parenthood Southeast.

Heather Barmore is an Advisor to VoteRunLead. Prior to joining VoteRunLead she was the Director of Advocacy at Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California (PPAC) and the Director of Digital Communications for Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, DC. She has also held positions in digital communications with the Democratic National Convention Committee and electoral strategy and lobbying with New York State United Teachers (NYSUT). Her political career began with an affinity for watching C-SPAN’s Senate coverage, a passion she holds to this day. Heather is an advocate for women in politics, digital organizing, and excellent storytelling. Her writing has been featured in The Guardian, Refinery29, The Toast, The Huffington Post, and Mic. An alumna of the American University in Washington, DC, Heather has been on the Advisory Board of Running Start, a nonpartisan movement of young women leaders since 2014.
