In November 2014, Anab Dahir joined over 300 other women in Minneapolis, MN, at National Go Run 2014.  Originally from Somali, Dahir moved to St. Cloud, MN, in 2008. Now an official Alum of Go Run, she shares why she is rising up and why she told her husband that she will no longer remain on the sidelines and why women need to use their gifts to make the world a better place.

Dahir is the founder and director of the Central Minnesota Somali Women Support, an organization geared toward working with female immigrants to foster cultural integration and provide those women with the resources to become self-sufficient. She has also served on the St. Cloud Housing and Redevelopment Authority board of commissioners.
